Valorant's New Agent Vyse Can Force You To Use A Worse Gun

In preparation for Episode 9, Act II, launching on August 28, Riot Games has announced Vyse–the latest agent to join the Valorant roster. Many of her abilities focus on stunning enemies to get the upper hand.Like every other Agent, Vyse will have four primary abilities that she can use. The first is Arc Rose, allowing her to shoot or place down a rose that can blind anyone who goes through it–including teammates. What’s nice about this ability is that it can be picked up and redeployed. She also has Shear–a liquid-metal wall that’ll activate whenever an enemy crosses it. Once the wall is up, it’ll be indestructible for a few seconds, leaving whoever triggered it alone.

Here's Why Borderlands 4 Is Launching On Steam After Borderlands 3 Didn't

Borderlands 4 will launch on Steam and the Epic Games Store on PC–a pretty common occurrence for any big-name game. But, in this case, it’s notable for a couple of reasons. First, Borderlands 3 was a timed exclusive for the Epic Games Store. And secondly, Gearbox co-founder and president Randy Pitchford shared some strong words about Steam five years ago on social media. In April 2019, Pitchford believed that Steam could be “a dying store” in 5-10 years. This led to a viral post on X calling out Pitchford for his prediction, highlighting that Borderlands 4 will launch on Steam. Pitchford responded directly to this on the social media platform, stating that he could have been right if “if Epic successfully pressed its advantage.”

Constance Is A Colorful Combo Of Hollow Knight And Splatoon, And I Dig It

Save for that blissful half-hour of Silksong that I played back in E3 2019, Constance is, so far, the best Hollow Knight-like game I’ve ever played. It’s not exactly the same–Constance takes a page out of Splatoon’s book and features a main character that can wield dangerous purple paint and submerge into puddles in order to slink past enemies or obstacles or ascend up walls–but I couldn’t help but be reminded of my time spend in Hallownest. My time with the game was unfortunately quite short–I played a 20-minute Gamescom demo–but I adored what I saw of its quirky world and enjoyed how much the various designs of the robotic enemies and assortment of paint-based abilities shook up each combat encounter. Just as Hollow Knight’s gameplay emulates the acrobatic dance and frenzied movement…

Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred is coming in October, and Blizzard just gave fans all kinds of new details about what’s coming in the expansion at Gamescom, including how a massive “first-of-its-kind” cooperative dungeon, the Dark Citadel, will require players to team up to earn its exclusive rewards. The dungeon is ruled by the First Khazra, who uses the citadel to experiment on villagers in an effort to resurrect a powerful demon. It will be up to players to put a stop to it, and in a first for the series, it will require players to group up. The Dark Citadel will be playable with a minimum of two players, but Blizzard is recommending a full party of four to conquer its challenges. The dungeon will become available upon reaching the endgame, and players will need to complete an introductory que…

Legendary Is Developing A Pacific Rim Prequel Series

In 2013, director Guillermo del Toro and screenwriter Travis Beacham co-wrote the script for Pacific Rim, a movie that pit giant monsters against giant robots piloted by two-man teams. The film spawned a sequel, Pacific Rim Uprising, in 2018. But aside from the two-season run of the anime, Pacific Rim: The Black on Netflix, the franchise has been largely dormant since then. Now, Legendary Entertainment has revealed plans to make a Pacific Rim prequel series, and a creative team is already in place.Via Variety, Eric Heisserer and Carmen Lewis are developing the Pacific Rim prequel series, which will presumably expand upon the origin sequence from the first film. As related in that movie, giant alien monsters called Kaiju broke through to our world through an interdimensional portal at the b…
